PEEK™ Machining

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a colorless organic thermoplastic polymer. PEEK is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained to high temperatures. Some grades have a useful operating temperature of up to 250 °C (482 °F) . It is highly resistant to thermal degradation as well as attack by both organic and aqueous environments. Because of its toughness, PEEK is used to manufacture parts used in demanding applications.

High Quality PEEK™ Parts from the Experts at Marver Med

PEEK can be machined to make piston parts, pumps, HPLC columns, compressor plate valves, and cable insulation. It is one of the few plastics compatible with ultra-high vacuum applications. It is extensively used in the aerospace, automotive, and chemical process industries. Industrial and medical grades of PEEK require different machining strategies. We machine both types of PEEK, turning out various products of exceptional quality.

Machining PEEK™ for the Medical Industry and Beyond

One of the most ubiquitous and versatile plastic machining choices, PEEK produces precision parts that stand up to high temperatures and harsh environments. PEEK is available in different grades to meet the needs of industrial, medical, or chemical process applications. Other uses include:

  • Automotive parts
  • Medical devices
  • Aerospace components.
